Our client - NC Food operates as premium grocer specializing in Australian and Japanese wagyu and frozen seafood in the suburb of Sunshine in Melbourne’s City of Brimbank LGA

There is a specialist focus on being a fresh meat retailer and wholesaler and the goal is for NC Food to be one of the largest retailers of premium Australian Wagyu meat and seafood in Melbourne. The focus is on quality, freshness, and accessibility to specifically target the “convenience” shopping demographic in the area.

They arelooking for a Business Development Manager who will drive the wholesale side of the business.

Responsibilities, tasks, and duties:

Identify, attract, and establish new opportunities in line with company strategy.

Review new inbound wholesale applications and support new customers through the onboarding process.

Manage NC Food’s existing customer portfolio, ensuring that key relationships are nurtured and strengthened to provide mutually beneficial outcomes.

Conduct market research, analyze the data and understand customer’s needs.

Source suppliers for products and goods (including but not limited to rice, groceries, etc) which are in demand from Vietnam and Thailand.

Responsible for pricing and contract negotiation with suppliers and exportation/importation procedures.

Review existing customer activity and identify opportunities to improve or optimize our relationship, ranging and revenue.

Set monthly sales targets, together with the founders, and work to achieve these.

Lead weekly sales meetings with the founders and other key stakeholders, providing sales reports, trends and updates on key projects and activities.

Develop and implement promotional plans for key accounts.

Travel and visit key customers within Victoria and interstate as required either on weekly, monthly quarterly or annual basis.

Perform in-store demonstrations/tastings for key customers and attend any relevant trade shows and events.

Be an advocate for NC Food and the company’s products. Obtain in-depth product knowledge, and provide ranging guidance, brewing advice and other product support to customers as needed.

Provides timely feedback to senior management regarding performance.

Provides timely, accurate, competitive pricing on all products supplied while striving to maintain maximum profit margin.

Controls the companies' expenses to meet budget.

Requires Skills:

At least 5 years’ experience in Sales & Marketing or similar positions.

Strong analysis and motivation skills.

Fluency in speaking and writing in English and Vietnamese and to communicate directly with customers, suppliers, wholesalers both in Australia and Vietnam.

Ability to work under high pressure and ready long travel trip to Vietnam and interstates in Australia.

Strong analytical, modelling, and commercial reporting skills.
