Purpose of the position
Repair and maintenance work for MacGregor product (crane) range, plus 3rd party maker if needed
To ensure the work is carried out efficiently, accurately, in a friendly manner and supporting management and the rest of the organization in necessary areas.
To support Service overall goals and budgets.
Ensure that all activities comply with the Integrated Management System (IMS), QHSE and other rules and requirements according to MacGregor standards.
Main tasks and responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Professionally supervise and/or perform service activities (refurbishment, upgrades, inspections,preventative maintenance and corrective actions) on MacGregor and equivalent equipment.
Independent working methods.
Continuous development of one's own skills.
General
To carry out the day to day activities as specified below:
Provide information and write reports as required.
Establish and maintain good relationships with both internal and external customers
Enable feedback from customers and the service market in general to reach the appropriate MacGregor organisation
Stay up to date with relevant developments, routines, processes and news within MacGregor major customers active in business area
Cooperate with the local MacGregor service network
Comply with all relevant safety and quality requirements
Follow all site safety rules, agreed working practices and environmental requirements
Recognize service and spares sales opportunities and communicate that to the relevant persons
Support sales activities such as follow-up on leads and quotes while at site, as agreed with sales responsible.
Sharing of acquired job knowledge with the team as necessary
Awareness of the profitability in the department.
Job management of the subcontractors.
Need to work irregular schedule with short notice at times
Sometimes need to travel or follow with vessel for job assignment
Authority
Make decisions about commercial matters within prescribed limits for each project, previously agreed with the Operations Manager or Superintendent
What you’ll need to succeed
Education:
Technical education or college level in electrical background or similar relevant experience
Experience:
Min. 5 years’ experience with marine cranes
Competencies
Has successfully completed defined Cargotec training programs.
English language, report writing and communication skills will be essentia
