Small Engine Mechanic Department: Engineering Direct Supervisor: Chief Engineer Status: Full-time Summary: The Small Engine Mechanic will be responsible for the repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting of various small engines, including but not limited to lawnmowers, golf carts, blowers, and pressure washers for use at Hard Rock Stadium.

They will work in a workshop environment, utilizing their mechanical expertise to diagnose issues and provide efficient solutions to ensure the proper functioning of these engines.

Location: This is a full-time position based on site at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, FL.

Responsibilities: * Diagnose and repair small engines, including two-stroke and four-stroke engines, ensuring adherence to manufacturer specifications and safety standards.

* Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, and tune-ups to optimize engine performance and longevity.

* Inspect engines to identify issues, dismantle and reassemble components as necessary, and test machinery to ensure proper operation.

* Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment effectively to troubleshoot electrical, fuel, and mechanical systems.

* Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used, and service history for each engine serviced.

* Provide guidance and advice to stadium departments on proper operation, maintenance, and storage of small engine equipment.

* Keep abreast of industry developments, new technologies, and advancements in small engine mechanics through continuous learning and training opportunities.

* Collaborate with colleagues and supervisors to streamline workflows, improve efficiency, and enhance customer satisfaction.

* Adhere to workplace safety protocols, including proper handling of hazardous materials and use of personal protective equipment.

* Contribute to a positive work environment by demonstrating professionalism, teamwork, and a commitment to quality service.

Qualifications: * High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in small engine repair is preferred.

* Proven experience as a small engine mechanic or similar role, with expertise in diagnosing and repairing a variety of small engines.

* Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of engine systems, including combustion processes, fuel delivery, and ignition systems.

* Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, hand and power tools, and shop equipment to perform repairs and maintenance tasks.

* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues efficiently.

* Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with each of the Stadium's departments and colleagues.

* Stamina and dexterity to lift heavy objects, work in confined spaces, and perform manual tasks for extended periods.

* Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work schedules in a fast-paced environment.

Must be able to work weekends/holidays and all major events at Hard Rock Stadium.

* Commitment to safety practices and compliance with environmental regulations related to small engine repair.
