Job Responsibilities:

Assisting attorneys in drafting and preparing legal documents such as legal arguments, motions, contracts, and agreements.

Organizing and managing legal files to ensure they are updated and readily accessible.

Coordinating phone communications, managing attorneys' schedules, and arranging meetings, appointments, and conference calls.

Creating, editing, and proofreading correspondence and legal documents, including pleadings and contracts.

Conducting legal research to support legal proceedings and assist in trial preparation.

Attending trials, taking and transcribing minutes.

Qualifications:

1+ year of experience as a legal assistant in a law firm.

In-depth knowledge of legal terminology, procedures, protocols, and court systems.

Proficiency in MS Office and a working knowledge of legal technology (e.g., court-filing computer systems, transcription software).

Superior oral and written communication skills.

Excellent organizational and time-management skills, including the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks.

A high degree of discretion for handling confidential information.

A Bachelor's degree in law, paralegal studies, or a related field is preferred.
