Consulting Engineer - Legal

About the position:

Construction disputes often involve complex engineering issues. Stein Ray LLP, a leading global law firm with an exclusive focus on complex construction disputes, seeks an engineer to be a part of its service delivery team. You will be intimately immersed in sophisticated construction disputes in front of courts and arbitral tribunals around the world. Working under the direction of the legal team, you will help clients investigate complex engineering issues and present them to courts and arbitral panels. You will not serve as an expert witness, although you will occasionally be involved in the search, evaluation, selection, and direction of expert witnesses.

Candidates should have a degree and background in engineering (civil, structural, or mechanical preferred), or in construction management with a focus on project controls. PE/PEng/license is not required. We will consider candidates with 0-8 years of experience. Strong writing skills are required.

Candidates who wish to attend evening law school may be eligible for partial tuition reimbursement. Salary is competitive with engineering positions.
