We are currently recruiting for Clinical Dietitians at Central Regional Hospital.

The primary purpose of the Clinical Dietitian is to coordinate all phases of nutrition care including assessment, nutrition diagnosis, intervention, monitoring, and evaluation, as well as education and counseling of hospitalized patients as indicated.

These are full-time positions and eligible for the full State benefits package.

The normal working hours vary between 7 a.m.

- 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, including rotating on-call weekends.

Flexibility is required to meet hospital needs.

These positions are deemed Mandatory during adverse weather events, which will be discussed in detail during the interview process.

Qualified applicants must document on the application that they possess all of the following: * Knowledge of the principles of evidence-based nutrition therapy.

* Knowledge of current trends and professional practices in Clinical Dietetics.

* Ability to assess, plan, counsel and direct nutrition care based on accepted principles and practices of nutrition and dietetics.

* Skills in writing clear, concise entries using established medical record procedures for care plans and progress notes in patients' medical records.

* Ability to utilize the Nutrition Care Process.

Master's degree in foods and nutrition or a related area from an appropriately accredited institution that is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND) and current registration, in good standing, administered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR); or Bachelor's degree in foods and nutrition, dietetics, or related area from an appropriately accredited institution that is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND) and current registration, in good standing, administered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and two years of experience in a clinical dietary setting; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
