We are currently assisting our client, a private family office, with a search for an Estate Manager.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Estate Manager reports to the Director of Estate Operations and will serve as a key role in overseeing and managing the operations of a large high-value property. They will ensure the smooth functioning, maintenance, and enhancement of the property, addressing both practical and strategic aspects.

The candidate must be extremely organized and obsessively attentive to details. He or she must demonstrate a high level of maturity, self-confidence, and exceptional intuition and judgment.

Key Responsibilities:

Source, hire, schedule and manage household employees and contractors to ensure household needs are met.

Along with Director of Estate Operations, select contractors for the performance of construction, reconstruction, maintenance, and repair work.

Oversee construction and maintenance projects with an eye to cost-efficiency while maintaining a high level of excellence.

Draw from previous construction experience to strategically develop, manage, and implement property projects, including maintenance schedules, reconstruction, and landscaping.

Operate, maintain, and implement security measures, devices, and plans in cooperation with the client's security provider.

Manage an operating budget, including reviewing and approving all invoices as well as regular reporting.

Maintain an evolving estate manual, updating as needed to match expectations.

Maintain owner's vehicles and all other additional belongings on the property.

Collaborate with accounting department, Director of Estate Operations, and other team members to ensure smooth scheduling, guest experience, safety and legal compliance, and vendor management.

Make purchases, run errands, and complete maintenance checklists, including some small maintenance projects.

Plan and manage events of all sizes.

Ensure guests staying at the property have a five-star hotel experience from arrival to departure.

This is a hands-on position. The Estate Manager is expected to lead by example and pitch in wherever needed.

The most successful candidate will be a team player with extremely significant flexibility and 24/7 on-call availability.Qualifications:

Ability to maintain the highest levels of confidentiality.

Minimum 5 years working as a private Estate Manager combined with experience from the hospitality sector preferred.

Proficient in English and Spanish, both written and spoken.

Prior construction project management experience required.

Sharp and highly organized with strong written and verbal communication skills.

Must be highly proficient in all aspects of personal computing, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Experience with smart home solutions, building control systems, and automated home systems desired.

Current driver's license required.

Successful completion of thorough background investigation and reference check.Characteristics:
