Job Description

Position Summary:

This individual will perform highly technical duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety and process standards within a tier one automotive supplier machining manufacturing facility.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

· Commitment to company objectives regarding safety, quality, cost, delivery and management

as communicated in the handbook, shift meetings, postings

· Comply with safety regulations

· Perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment

· Read and interpret wire schematics, blue prints, equipment manuals and work orders to perform required planned maintenance and service

· CNC machine monitoring, troubleshooting and repair. (Mitsubishi and Fanuc preferred)

· PLC skills to diagnose machine problems

· Computer skills

· Replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments

· Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and facilities

· Use a variety of tools, multi meters and material in maintaining the equipment

· Attend shift meetings and others applicable to the position

· 5S (Sort, Set-in-Order, Shine, Standardize and Sustain) your work space and 5S duties as assigned

· Perform other tasks as assigned

Competencies and skills:

· Problem solving-the individual identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner, gathers and analyzes information skillfully

· Ability to read and interpret hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical drawings.

· Interpersonal skills-the individual remains open to others’ ideas and exhibits willingness to try new things

· Oral communication-the individual communicates clearly and professionally in positive or negative situations

· Written communication-the individual edits work for accuracy, presents numerical data effectively and is able to read and interpret written information

· Planning/organizing-the individual prioritizes and plans work activities and uses time efficiently

· Quality-the individual demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness and monitors own work to ensure quality

· Adaptability-the individual adapts to changes in the work environment, manages competing demands and is able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events

· Dependability- the individual is consistently at work and on time

· Thorough knowledge of machine line equipment

· Attention to detail

Education and work experience:

· Four (4) years experience in a machining manufacturing environment

· Strong machining, hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical skills - PLC and CNC skills

· Vision System experience is a plus
