Our client, a professional services consulting firm, is seeking an Immigration Paralegal. This is a contract remote role, and you must be able to commit to the position from June - December to be considered for this opportunity.

In this position, you'll assist in providing tailored immigration services and support to the business. You will assist in immigration case filings, perform assessments on topics such as visa stamping, travel, and cross-border tax assistance, and help employees and hiring managers navigate a complex and ever-changing immigration landscape.

Core Duties:

Assist with managing U.S. non-immigrant and immigrant visa filings, including H-1B, TN, E-3, L-1B/A, PERM, EB-1, EB-2, EB-3, and AOS cases in partnership with outside vendors

Assist with managing global visa/work permit filings in partnership with outside vendors in APAC, North American, and EMEA regions

Serve as a point of contact for HR Business Partners, business leaders, employees, and hiring managers to provide holistic and consultative services on available immigration options, internal guidelines, and education on new or changing policies

Serve as a point of contact for HR Business Partners, business leaders, employees, and hiring managers on immigration matters, inquiries, filings, and legislative updates for country jurisdictions, including the United States, Canada, UK, Singapore, etc.

Assist with prioritizing and managing immigration timelines globally including renewals and expiration dates and ensure that all impacted parties are kept up to date in a timely manner

Under supervision, assist in responding to inquiries regarding U.S. immigration case status and present available options, including permanent transfer, short-term assignment, and business travel strategies

Consult with internal and external subject matter experts regarding tax, legal, compliance and compensation-related issues affecting employee cross-border movement; advise employee and hiring teams on requirements and best practices

Handle business visa travel letters and employment verification requests for foreign nationals

Process all vendor invoices related to Global Mobility function

Assist in coordinating all aspects of domestic and global employee transfers, temporary assignments including immigration, employment, tax, and other region-specific concerns

Assist in initiating relocation matters with provider for international transfers and short term assignments

Required Skills and Experience:

Bachelor's degree (preferred)

5+ years of high-volume U.S. employment-based immigration experience with extensive experience working with within the consulting industry clients (required)

In-depth knowledge of B-1, H-1B, TN, E-3, L-1, J visas and green card/permanent residency processes (required)

Experience with international (non-U.S.) immigration matters in North America (Canada), APAC, and EMEA is a plus

Knowledge of tax equalization (preferred but not required)

Experience with Workday and related reporting (required)
