Description:

Parallel Employment is currently seeking a Screen Printer Setup Operator to join our team. As a Screen Printer Setup Operator, you will be responsible for setting up and operating screen printing equipment to produce high-quality prints on various materials.

Pay rate: $16.00hr.

Flexible Part Time hours could work days/evenings depending on current needs of client at the time.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Set up printing press by selecting screens, squeegees, and inks according to job specifications

Prepare screens by applying emulsion and transferring designs onto screens

Mix inks to achieve desired colors and consistency

Load materials onto the printing press and adjust settings for proper registration and ink coverage

Operate printing press to print designs onto materials, ensuring high-quality and accurate prints

Monitor print quality throughout the production run and make adjustments as needed

Clean and maintain printing equipment and work area

Perform routine maintenance and repairs on printing equipment

Follow safety protocols and maintain a safe and clean work environment

Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and ensure customer satisfaction

Receiving work order jobs for screen printing.

Examining work orders to determine estimated printing times, ink, and material quantities.

Designing screen patterns according to customer specifications.

Selecting screen size, degreasing agents, and emulsion coatings.

Loading screens into the printer.

Installing and repositioning screen printing plates and pressure roles.

Calibrating printer before the batch is printed.

Running prints and performing quality checks throughout the printing process.

Troubleshooting problems as they arise.

Drying, folding, and packing completed articles after the run.

Bending and twisting

REQUIREMENTS:

Previous experience as a Screen Printer Setup Operator or similar role

Strong knowledge of screen printing techniques, equipment, and materials

Ability to set up and operate screen printing equipment, including selecting screens, squeegees, and inks

Proficient in mixing inks to achieve desired colors and consistency

Attention to detail and ability to maintain high print quality

Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Good communication and organizational skills

High school diploma or equivalent
