Overview:

Internal-facing position that centers on creating, producing, and editing original and unique written content for all digital and traditional assets of Acadia Healthcare and its brands. Collaboratively works with marketing management, marketing operations team, and Acadia facility leadership to determine content strategy based on clinical accuracy and marketing goals. Consistently produces high-caliber written content that holds to clinical standards (DSM-5-TR) and follows the tone and brand positioning of Acadia and its facilities. Consistently copy edits written content that holds to clinical standards (DSM-5-TR) and follows the tone and brand positioning of Acadia and its facilities. Implements use of AI platforms for content creation when requested. Contributes to brand development and positioning of marketing and content messaging. Daily communication and collaboration with all corporate marketing staff, including marketing operations, creative suite, paid search, and facility staff. Daily tasks include, but are not limited to, writing content for website pages, articles, blog posts, digital and traditional ads, facility collateral, press releases, and email marketing. Ensures that the content team is maintaining clinical accuracy on all deliverables, and communicates effectively on all content-related issues and required needs to efficiently and effectively perform tasks.

Responsibilities:

Contributes to all content development strategy in conjunction with management and the staff at Acadia’s facilities.

Writes unique, original, and high-quality content based on agreed-upon standards.

Writes unique, original, and high-quality content based on brand positioning and operational strategy.

Copy edits written content, ensuring delivery of high-quality content based on agreed-upon standards.

Uses AI platforms to create unique, high-quality content based on agreed-upon standards.

Uses AI platforms to create unique, high-quality content based on brand positioning and operational strategy.

Assists in the development of other marketing and communications materials, such as ad copy, landing pages, press releases, external publications, and brochures/informational materials.

Researches and stays current on clinical standards, timely industry topics, and SEO content standards.

Conducts extensive research to maintain the ability to offer guidance and clinical expertise to other members of the marketing and communications team.

Provides content oversight within Acadia’s marketing division and across Acadia’s facilities.

Assists in gathering project specifications.

Continuously strives for quality improvement by identifying and understanding issues, problems, and opportunities. Compares data from multiple sources to recommend effective approaches/solutions.

Other tasks as needed for successful project completion.

OTHER FUNCTIONS:

Learning and researching SEO content standards to help improve website content

Understanding Key Performance Indicators (KPI) for written content and how it can improve our digital footprint

Additional functions will be added when needed

Qualifications:

REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree

2+ years of experience writing for consumer, educational, or professional publications or websites

1+ years of experience using AI platforms for content creation

1+ years of experience copy-editing

Flexibility and eagerness to identify, learn, and use new and changing technologies

Self-motivated with strong organizational skills and superior attention to detail

Work professionally with sensitive, proprietary data and information while maintaining confidentiality

Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact with people at all levels, both internal and external

Must be able to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously within inflexible time frames

Ability to adapt to frequent priority changes

Capable of working within established policies, procedures, and practices prescribed by the organization

RECOMMENDED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree in psychology, sociology, creative writing, journalism, or related field

Master’s degree or higher in psychology, social work, creative writing, journalism, or related field

Prior experience creating content pertaining to the behavioral healthcare field

Experience in writing SEO-focused content

Experience using AI content creation platforms

Experience in copy editing

Familiarity with WordPress

Familiarity with Microsoft Teams or similar business messaging software

Familiarity with the Associated Press Stylebook

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

Perform essential functions listed in the job description in office or from home/remote locations

Must be able to sit and stand, intermittent 8 to 10 hours a day

Maintains regular and predictable attendance

Must be able to speak to medium-sized audience with and without the use of a microphone

Must be able to use standard office equipment

Continuously work under pressure while keeping near 100% accuracy and meeting deadlines

Ability to maintain composure in high-pressure or urgent situations

Ability to travel up to 10% of the time, including flying and driving rental cars

To accommodate travel, must be able to transport own suitcases and computer estimated at 25 pounds
