Job Summary & Responsibilities:

The Director of SEC Reporting, Technical & GL Accounting will report directly to the VP of Finance/Corporate Controller, and demonstrate initiative and technical competence to handle duties related to all filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and all technical accounting matters.

SEC Reporting

Compile, review, edit, and submit all SEC filings that are not filed by the Company’s outside counsel. Expected filings including all 10-Qs, 10-K, Annual Reports, 8-Ks, S-8s, and S-1s.

Compile the annual SEC filing calendar and drive the quarterly and annual SEC filing process.

Manage external resources to the extent they are utilized to help compile, edit, and/or file the above-mentioned SEC filings.

Identify, design and propose ways to make the revenue accounting function more efficient, accurate and timely on a global basis.

Ensure compliance with internal audit requirements and adherence to SOX controls.

Technical accounting

Primary technical accounting in-house expert, providing guidance as it relates to complex accounting matters.

Stay current on the latest financial accounting and reporting developments particularly ASC606 for revenue reporting.

Assist in the company’s quarterly debt compliance reporting

Complete quarterly GAAP checklist.

General Accounting

Oversee the GL Accounting team including the month end close process.

Provide oversight for the Revenue, AP, Payroll and Equity teams

Oversee all aspects of worldwide consolidated revenue reporting (gross and net).

Revenue management includes but is not limited to revenue accounting, revenue reporting, audit schedules, rebates, sales tax, and VAT reporting functions for the company.

Manage the stock administrator and all aspects of the Nevro Equity Plan

Other duties as assigned

Role Requirements:

10 or more years experience with a Bachelors degree, 8 years experience with a Masters degree, or relevant work experience

5 or more years SEC Reporting experience

5 more years of leadership experience preferred

Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred

Skills and Knowledge:

CPA

Knowledge of SEC reporting requirements

Big 4 accounting firm experience a plus

Revenue accounting experience preferred

Extensive knowledge of GAAP, including Revenue Accounting

ERP System experience with QAD highly preferred

Proficient in researching complex technical accounting matters.

Accurate and timely financial accounting.

Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to drive businesses to improved processes and performance.

Skilled Excel user able to create and maintain complex spreadsheets

Target Pay Range:

$171,000 - 240,000. The final starting salary offer to the successful candidate will be determined by evaluating several factors, such as education, experience, knowledge, skills, internal equity, alignment with market data, and geography. Nevro is a multi-state employer, so the target pay range may increase or decrease depending on the city/state.
