OBJECTIVE:
Supervisor, Facilities Objective
To manage, conduct, and oversee the Building Services Department staff and operating budget, as well as maintenance and repairs of the equipment, buildings, grounds, contractors, and contracts at the Farm Bureau Center and other buildings owned or maintained by Farm Bureau Insurance.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervisor, Facilities Responsibilities
Keep the facilities manager informed on the operation of ongoing projects, maintenance, and potential issues throughout the facility such as heating and air conditioning equipment, renovations, plumbing, electrical, and grounds.
Maintain understanding of electrical wiring, circuitry, prudent electrical practices to operate and repair electric equipment lawfully, safely, dependably, efficiently, and economically.
Maintain understanding of plumbing practice as relates to water supply, sanitary plumbing, gas fitting, drainage, and water heaters.
Maintain understanding of HVAC and R as it relates to operation and maintenance of roof top units, chiller and water tower, boiler system and steam heat, and kitchen cooling equipment.
QUALIFICATIONS:

Required
High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate's degree in related field preferred, or equivalent experience required.
Minimum three to five years of experience required.
Must have or be willing to obtain state certification for handling lawn and other chemicals related to the upkeep of the building and the building’s equipment.
Must possess a valid driver license.
Preferred
Two years supervisory experience preferred.
Personal computer knowledge preferred.
