Job purpose
The 22+ Mobile Teacher effectively utilizes their prior education and training, sound classroom management, technology, and the 22+ program curriculum to successfully educate and graduate students. The Mobile 22+ Teacher serves students within the school network, teacher will be given an assigned region.
Duties and responsibilities
Specific duties include, but are not limited to the following:
Facilitate assigned curriculum following the programs course of study utilizing varying teaching modalities, routinely and frequently incorporating real-world work scenarios
Develop lesson plans using a variety of techniques such as real-life work scenarios, examples, and problems; visual aids; creative projects; and technology to engage students in their learning
Participate in ongoing professional development activities, including required professional building teams
Keep accurate records using school approved tools and processes for each student such as grade books and progress reports, lesson plans, attendance records, and behavior/discipline records
Perform advising responsibilities to assigned student caseload(s)
Maintain a positive school environment through effective conflict resolution, collaboration, positive reinforcement, and educational leadership modeling
Maintain a clean and safe classroom environment, and discipline in an orderly fashion conducive to good learning
Motivate students to achieve their full attendance, academic, and behavioral goals, as well as other goals identified
Establish and maintain a positive rapport with students, staff, school administration, and other stakeholders
Maintain effective communication on an ongoing basis with students, staff, school administration, and other stakeholders
Participate in school and extra-curricular activities as directed by the 22+ Program Director and/or school Administrator
Perform student home visits as needed which may include class in correctional facilities
Perform other duties as assigned
