Director Portfolio Manager:

Oversight and management of a complex commercial real estate loan portfolio. The position is responsible for managing all aspects of the portfolio including, underwriting, risk management, customer service, compliance, and data integrity.

Responsibilities:

Maintain integrity of a large portfolio of complex investment commercial real estate loans ensuring credit quality and soundness of risk ratings, adherence with compliance / policy, and maintenance of relevant data / systems

Ensure timely completion of renewals, modifications, and annual reviews for assigned relationships. This includes evaluation of risk ratings, collateral performance and valuation, maintenance of timely receipt of customer financial reporting, accurate testing of financial covenants and loan structure and pricing

Ensure loan documents are consistent with the credit approval document. Ensure loan is managed in accordance with the loan documents

Underwrite and close loan modifications and renewals, and in some instances negotiate deal terms. Perform all aspects of financial / credit analysis and underwriting as well as completion of the credit approval document

Analyze, review, and approve lease proposals; perform tenant analysis as well

Preparation and presentation of quarterly problem asset reports

Provide training, oversight, and guidance to more junior colleagues

Develop and implement strategies for loans within the assigned portfolio

Assist with various internal and external audits of assigned portfolio

Manage assigned construction loans including draw process

Monitor cash flow sweeps and escrows, and process escrow disbursements

Partner with Relationship Managers to manage customer relationships

Provide customer service, participate in joint sales calls with Relationship Managers

Education, Experience & Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in relevant field required; MBE preferred

Minimum of 7+ years of work experience in commercial real estate

Strong analytical and credit skills

Strong oral and written communication skills

Strong business acumen with ability to drive change

Ability to multitask

Ability to train more junior colleagues

Proficient at Microsoft Excel

The estimated salary range for this position is $125,000 USD to $145,000 USD. Actual salary may vary up or down depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position is eligible for incentive compensation.
