Vice President of Manufacturing Innovation
Location: 14460 Varsity Brands Way, Farmers Branch, TX 75244
As Vice President of Manufacturing Innovation, you will be a key leader in our Operations and Supply Chain Team. The Vice President of Manufacturing Innovation is accountable for all cutting edge innovations for Decoration, Sublimation, Digital, and Production Art activities in support of the Varsity Brands Fashion and Retail business. Specifically, this role will focus on new and cutting edge innovations in the all supply chain process that drives improved cost, quality, and speed to market. This position will report directly to the SVP, Manufacturing, Procurement, and Product Development and partner closely with the VP of Product Development, VP Decoration, and VP Manufacturing.
What you will do:
Lead the development and execution of a strategic innovation roadmap to drive continuous improvement in manufacturing processes by reducing cost and increasing speed to market without compromising quality
Identifying and evaluating new technologies, processes, and methodologies to enhance manufacturing efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, decoration, and quality assurance, to implement innovative process solutions.
Managing and mentoring process improvement teams of innovation specialists and engineers to ensure successful implementation of innovation projects.
Establishing key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the impact of innovation initiatives on manufacturing operations.
Building and maintaining relationships with external partners, such as technology providers and equipment manufacturers, to stay abreast of industry trends and best practices.
Ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and standards related to manufacturing innovation.
Contributing to the development of the company's overall manufacturing strategy and goals.
Providing regular updates and reports to senior management on the progress of innovation projects and initiatives.
Support growth through acquisition and licensing by tailoring development needs to specific new businesses
Execute continuous improvement initiatives to drive Varsity to market product excellence
Perform other duties as assigned.
What you need:
10+ years of manufacturing and decoration process improvement
Bachelor's Degree
Up to date knowledge of systems and processes that drive successful process innovation through cross functional team integration
Deep knowledge of lettering, decoration and sublimation techniques
Excellent leadership skills, including the abilities to set goals, motivate and manage conflict
In-depth understanding of industry and company best practices for production development and go to market strategy
Experience with SAP or similar ERP environment
Experience working within design / product configurator environment
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, effectively balancing multiple concurrent assignments
Travel
