As a Housekeeping Supervisor, you are responsible for overseeing and coordinating the activities of the housekeeping staff to ensure a clean, orderly, and well-maintained environment. Your leadership and organizational skills play a critical role in upholding high cleanliness standards, training staff, and ensuring a positive guest experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Staff Supervision:

Lead and supervise a team of housekeeping staff.

Schedule and assign daily tasks and responsibilities.

Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.

Training and Development:

Train new housekeeping staff on cleaning procedures, safety protocols, and guest service standards.

Provide ongoing training to existing staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.

Quality Control:

Conduct inspections of guest rooms and public areas to ensure they meet established cleanliness standards.

Address any deficiencies and provide additional training as needed.

Inventory Management:

Monitor and manage inventory of cleaning supplies, linens, and amenities.

Place orders for supplies and coordinate with vendors.

Guest Interaction:

Address guest inquiries, concerns, or special requests related to housekeeping services.

Ensure a high level of guest satisfaction through prompt and effective resolution.

Coordination with Other Departments:

Collaborate with front desk, maintenance, and other departments to ensure seamless operations.

Communicate effectively with colleagues and superiors.

Adherence to Standards:

Ensure staff compliance with established cleaning and safety procedures.

Implement and enforce hygiene and sanitation regulations.

Reporting:

Generate reports on housekeeping activities, including room occupancy, cleaning schedules, and staff performance.

Report maintenance issues and coordinate with the maintenance department for timely resolution.

Requirements:

Qualifications:

Previous experience in a supervisory role within housekeeping or a related field.

Knowledge of cleaning and sanitation products, techniques, and equipment.

Strong leadership and organizational skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to handle and resolve guest and staff issues effectively.

Working Conditions:

Varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Physical activity, including standing, walking, bending, and lifting.

Exposure to cleaning chemicals.
