Want to join our team as a Product Development Engineer Fall Intern?

The Product Development Engineer Intern will work in the Research & Development department located in Liverpool, New York. Reporting to the Sr. Manager of Product Development – Lacrosse you will be specifically focusing on working within Lacrosse Helmets.

Internship will be onsite Monday through Friday in our Liverpool, NY Office Location.

Internship Timeline Expectations: Mid-August through December.

Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities:

Supports the lacrosse R&D team in development of advanced technologies and new materials.

Completes testing and validation of finished product, components, materials, and sub-assemblies to support the development process. Develops new testing protocols as required.

Performs the data collection and analysis to determine the specifications of a product for internal or external manufacturing.

Participates in the design, fabrication and modification of equipment and tooling to perform tests and trials.

Performs assembly of new prototypes and assists in testing both in laboratory and field.

Ensures that incoming parts match the engineering requirements specified in technical drawings and CAD files.

Develop advanced concepts and technologies for lacrosse equipment.

Assists in developing and evaluating product performance requirements, standards, etc.

Required to travel 10% of the time to assist in field testing, generally within the Syracuse area.

Qualifications:

Enrollment in a bachelor’s or master's degree in mechanical engineering or related field, with 3+ years completed.

Excellent time/project management skills, with ability to meet deadlines.

Detail-oriented, with excellent creative problem-solving skills.

Ability to work on multiple projects, with minimal supervision, in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent written and verbal communication.

Experience in creating and using 2D and 3D CAD software. SolidWorks is preferred.

Lab testing, Quality and Manufacturing experience is a plus.

Experience and interest in the game of lacrosse is a plus.
