Job Summary:

As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the kitchen. You will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes according to our standardized recipes and maintaining a clean and organized workstation. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Food Preparation:

Execute recipes accurately and efficiently to meet quality standards.

Prepare and portion ingredients as per the recipe specifications.

Ensure all food products are handled, stored, and prepared safely.

Cooking and Assembly:

Cook and plate dishes according to established procedures.

Monitor and adjust cooking times and temperatures to ensure food quality.

Collaborate with other kitchen staff to coordinate the timing of dishes.

Quality Control:

Conduct regular quality checks on ingredients and finished dishes.

Maintain high standards of food presentation and flavor.

Cleanliness and Organization:

Keep workstations, equipment, and utensils clean and sanitized.

Follow proper food handling and safety guidelines.

Assist in the overall cleanliness of the kitchen.

Team Collaboration:

Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure a smooth operation.

Communicate effectively with colleagues and superiors.

Adherence to Standards:

Adhere to standardized recipes and portion sizes.

Follow guidelines for food storage and rotation.

Requirements:

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Line Cook or relevant culinary position.

Knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines.

Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.

Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects.

Culinary degree or relevant certification is a plus.

Working Conditions:

Fast-paced kitchen environment.

Standing for extended periods.

Exposure to heat, steam, and high noise levels.

Afternoon shift 3:00pm to 11:00pm
