Description:

About the Position

We're looking to hire an experienced Tech Coordinator to manage a variety of daily tasks and projects across Jane Street’s technology department. You should have a roll-up-your-sleeves, no-job-too-small attitude, and an inclination to proactively volunteer to help wherever needed.

As our firm continues to grow, so has the scope and complexity of our work and projects. This role will rely heavily on your problem-solving and communication skills to streamline a whole host of activities across the firm. And while we’re excited about bringing more efficiency to our projects, it’s just as important for us to maintain the integrity of our firm’s collaborative spirit; we put people over process.

Technology at Jane Street spans from teams focused on tech infrastructure (like IT, cybersecurity, and facilities engineering), to teams who are building systems for our core trading business. You will sit at the center of all of it and support firm stakeholders in the following areas:

Conferences: Supporting firm leaders attending learning and development conferences around the world with logistics and planning (e.g., which shows should we attend, who should attend, etc.)

Contractor engagement: Coordinating the moving pieces when we bring on a new contracting partner (e.g., working with legal to develop NDAs, organizing onboarding documentation, liaising with our travel team to manage itineraries, etc.)

Events: Collaborating with our in-house events team to spearhead a variety of large-scale, cross-team social events

Project support: Engaging closely in a variety of broader, department-wide initiatives to help build connection and streamline our current systems

Travel coordination: Organizing firm leaders’ itineraries when they travel to other Jane Street offices (e.g., orchestrating dinners or speaking engagements)

Our Technology group is an extremely dynamic area of our business. We are looking for someone who can adapt quickly and balance multiple responsibilities in a challenging, fast-paced environment. Your ability to find creative solutions, build connections, and communicate effectively will be key to your success.
