ZF is a global technology company supplying advanced mobility products and systems for passenger cars, commercial vehicles and industrial technology.

ZF is looking for a Principal Commodity Buyer for fineblanking parts for our location in Monterrey.

The ZF Global Purchasing Team is responsible for providing global and sustainable competitiveness for ZF and its suppliers. The team manages the supply chain in order to provide our customers with the best products.

Main Tasks:

Strategic Sourcing for the Commodity: Pre-RFQ, RFQ and Sourcing recommendations up to SAB & SDB levels.

On-time sourcing activities and coordination of technical review across suppliers and internal cross teams.

Contribute to Commodity savings for the assigned suppliers and Part Families in different regions in all Business Units, to achieve the OP targets, including generation and follow up of VAVE measures.

Generate and execute Global Competitive Sourcing (GCS).

Work with “Matched Teams” to set-up and implement assigned Part Family Strategies.

Cost analysis for fact-based recommendations, from CBD (cost break down) level to TCO (total cost of ownership) level, in cooperation with Cost Engineering.

Interface with internal customers on critical supplier issues as necessary.

Supplier Lead Contact, coordinating the Commodity topics for the assigned suppliers, including accountability for Business Plan fulfillment, capacity planning, contractual status, financial health monitoring, etc.

Lead supplier negotiations and monitor cost saving performance status towards required targets.

Maintenance of savings / inflation in the Purchasing Report system.

Ownership of operational purchasing tasks in the field of responsibility (purchase orders, invoices, etc.).

Requirements:

Bachelor s degree in Economics, Industrial Engineering or related areas.

Proficient Microsoft Office user (i.e., Excel, Power Point).

Fluent verbal and written English. German is a plus.

Experience at least 8+ years in industrial Purchasing, preferably in the Automotive sector.

Demonstrated performance in working cross-functionally within an international matrixed organization and working independently to obtain results.
