Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
5+ years of industry experience in schematics and control panel design for industrial machinery, process equipment, or capital equipment
Must have AutoCAD experience
Previous experience designing and building control panels. Systems design will include schematics, wire harnesses, creating control system requirements
Knowledge of peripheral systems such as graphical programming tools, CAN BUS systems and communication protocols, etc.
Ability to create technical documentation for system builds in SolidWorks or AutoCAD
Experience taking a concept through to manufacturing release or customer installation - including testing, validation, etc.
Experience with control systems programming (PLCs, Python, C) is helpful Responsibilities:
Support the controls engineering team in all aspects of product development, including design, prototyping, and testing electrical systems
Generate systems schematics and documentation
Perform control system programming and validate software documentation.
Create drawings for build documentation, utilizing both 2D and 3D CAD.
Support and mentor Engineering Technicians in prototype and preproduction unit construction
Establish and oversee control systems requirements.
Lead electrical design tasks, including control panels and wire harnesses, with analysis, troubleshooting, and review.
Perform control system programming and validate software documentation
