Job Description

I have a longn term opportunity for an IT Operations Asset Manager to join the team for one of our top tier clients in East Hartford, CT.

This is a hybrid role, onsite 3 days, 2 days remote.

Rate: $55-$65/hr W2

IT Asset Management (Software)

Responsibilities:

Plan, monitor, and record software assets for the organization

Develop and promote an effective asset management strategy, policy and best practices within the organization

Work with business stakeholders to manage the accuracy, integrity, and completeness of the IT asset repositories (CMDB or similar)

Perform verification and auditing of the CMDB content

Make sure the content of the asset management database is accurate

Maintain an accurate inventory of software assets including version control, licensing details and usage statistics

Establish and maintain documentation of procedures, processes, and reports concerning asset and configuration management

Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and policies related to asset management.

Perform research on industry best practice and incorporate it with organizational practices

Qualifications

Strong background in hardware and software asset management (licensing, procurement, IT Operations, etc)

Strong understanding of asset management principles and best practices.

Experience with ITIL, ITSM or ITOM tools and concepts would be a plus

Ability to analyze data and provide insights

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Attention to detail and accuracy

Bachelors degree or similar
