Join our client's team as an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer, where you'll serve as their technical expert in client interactions. You will collaborate with Tier-1 customers and OEMs, providing guidance on technical, design, and process aspects to meet their needs. Your role includes supporting New Project Introductions through the APQP process and coordinating efforts with Product Engineering to drive growth opportunities. You will lead the development of engineering proposals, support manufacturing feasibility analysis, and ensure Design for Manufacturability. You'll foster strong customer relationships, support continuous improvement initiatives, and contribute to various aspects of the NPI process. Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
Minimum of 5 years' experience working with CNC metal cutting machines, including CAM programming
Strong technical background with knowledge of mechanical design, material science, manufacturing processes, and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing
Experience with multi-axis (3, 4, and 5 axis) and high-speed machining techniques
Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks, NX, CATIA, and AutoCAD
Familiarity with die casting standards and APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, 8D-Report, SPC, and IATF16949 requirements
Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage competing priorities
Willingness to travel to meet with customers and support plant operations as needed
