This role is required to help develop and maintain control of processes in the injection molding department and provide support to the production schedule including mold changes and startups. Lead molding improvements to include cycle time efficiencies, cavitation, scrap reduction, and establishment of optimal processing parameters
2. Role and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Responsible for the execution of the production schedule
Performing mold /material changes, performing process troubleshooting, and various other functions to ensure part conformity and quality.
Assist in technical training.
Responsible for establishing and documenting the injection molding process
Establishing quality monitoring parameters, and documentation of any changes to the process.
Monitor in-process scrap and downtime.
Lead molding improvements to include cycle time efficiencies, cavitation, scrap reduction, and establishment of optimal processing parameters.
Assist with troubleshooting, tool sampling, quality issues, and training.
Provide solutions to technical issues for automotive product qualification.
Monitors process performance to identify areas for improvement, coordinating corrective actions as necessary.
Provide technical support for new tooling qualifications when requested by the Production supervisor or manager.
Provide technical support for daily processing activities on the production floor as requested by the Production supervisor.
Support Company Safety, Quality, and Productivity goals and initiatives.
Participate & support lean/continuous improvement initiatives.
May be asked to perform special tasks.
Is crossed trained in other department job positions
Qualifications and Education Requirements
setting up mold /processing in injection molding
Preferred Skills
Ability to speak, read, and write English
Scientific molding certifications a plus
Ability to work overtime
Mechanically inclined.
Safety oriented.
