Join us in this role where you’ll integrate wind farm SCADA into a unified SCADA system by configuring data points and building display for the operations team. You’ll also be involved in site FAT, SAT, and system handover process between EPC and O&M.
Welcome to Operations technology and Security
You’ll be part of the Generation Management System team where you, together with your colleagues, will work on SCADA configuration and test and assist in daily operation maintenance. Together, you’ll gain experience in a multi-SCADA system and coordinate with the site testing. As a team, we’re responsible for integrating new wind farms into a unified SCADA system. You’ll be working in a global diverse team across US, UK and Europe.
You’ll play an important role in:
implementing SCADA configuration, displays, communication setup, and functionality for the US GMS system (Central SCADA) with our sites and external suppliers
coordinating with the project manager to perform and document the site test with external system
assisting the O&M/EPC handover process incl. technical specs, overall architecture setup, and the training document
managing and implementing system patches and upgrades
collaborating with the O&M team to support maintenance activities with the US Control Centre.
To succeed in the role, you:
have good SCADA/IT knowledge, possibly acquired through a bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical/software engineering, or similar engineering knowledge
have at least 2 years’ experience with SCADA-or PLC configuration
have experience with and electrical transmission manufacturers
have experience with failure investigation on SCADA communication, and ideally have good network knowledge
preferably have communication protocol knowledge of OPC, DNP3.0, IEC, and Modbus
preferably have experience with site commissioning and interface test.
