Job Description
A private psychiatric practice is looking for a licensed associate counselor/Licensed Social worker to become a part of our team. We will provide an excellent opportunity for personal and professional growth.
DUTIES
Diagnose client’s problems by collecting, assessing and evaluating information about the client’s situation and presenting symptoms
Develop treatment plan by establishing treatment goals with the client and their support system, and determining treatment methodologies;
Provide therapeutic feedbacks and recommendations by suggesting and exploring resolutions, and discussing progress towards goals;
Monitor progress towards treatment goals by evaluating and adjusting services provided;
Assures quality service for clients by enforcing rules, regulations, and legal requirements with clients; documenting events of the therapeutic process;
Maintain profession and ethical knowledge and standards by attending educational workshops,
Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
Master’s degree in mental health counseling, counseling psychology, social work, or marriage and family therapy
Must be licensed to practice in the State of NJ as a Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC)
Experience in establishing long term, mutually beneficial partnerships with other service providers
Strong teamwork and leadership skills; and ability to think critically, creatively and strategically to promote quality programming and growth
Understanding of New Jersey Mental Health and Substance Abuse standards and guidelines
Must be available some evenings and Saturdays
