Responsibilities:
Cloud Infrastructure Design and Deployment:
· Design, implement, and maintain scalable and reliable cloud-based infrastructure architectures (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) using infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools.
· Configure and optimize cloud services such as virtual machines, containers, load balancers, and auto-scaling groups to meet application requirements.
· Collaborate with development teams to establish deployment pipelines and enable continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices.
Automation and Configuration Management:
· Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools to streamline deployment, provisioning, and monitoring processes.
· Utilize configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef) to ensure consistency and manage infrastructure configuration changes.
· Implement infrastructure monitoring and logging solutions to enable proactive identification and resolution of operational issues.
System and Application Monitoring:
· Set up and maintain monitoring systems to track infrastructure and application performance metrics, ensuring high availability and reliability.
· Respond to system alerts and troubleshoot performance bottlenecks, working closely with relevant teams to resolve issues promptly.
· Implement incident response processes and participate in on-call rotations to provide timely support and minimize service disruptions.
Security and Compliance:
· Implement and enforce security best practices, including access control, data encryption, and vulnerability management, in accordance with industry standards and regulations.
Collaboration and Documentation:
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, system administrators, and network engineers, to optimize cloud infrastructure and application performance.
· Document infrastructure configurations, deployment processes, and troubleshooting guides to ensure knowledge sharing and maintain a comprehensive repository of operational procedures.
· Stay up to date with emerging cloud technologies, industry trends, and best practices, and evaluate their potential impact on the organization's infrastructure and operations.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field or 4+ years of professional experience
· 2+ years of hands-on development experience in an object-oriented programming language or similar.
· Strong experience with cloud platforms such as AWS(must have), Azure, or Google Cloud, including infrastructure provisioning, networking, and security.
· Hands-on experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration frameworks like Kubernetes.
· Familiarity with scripting and programming languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell) for automation and tool development.
· Understanding of DevOps principles and experience implementing GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
· Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in cloud-based environments.
· Knowledge of security best practices and experience implementing security controls in cloud infrastructure.
· Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
· Knowledge of configuration management tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef is a plus.
· Relevant certifications, such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or Azure DevOps Engineer, are a plus.
