Specific Duties and Responsibilities
1. Ensures all needed documents are complete, updated and reviewed;
2. Identifies and reviews respective scope items prior to starting the take off which includes but is not limited to the following: checks for conflicts, reference drawing correctness, clarifications needed, buy-out items or any questions;
3. Reads all pertinent specification sections to understand each scope item; takes note any needed clarifications or possible buy-out items or any item which is not clear and should be brought to the attention
4. Checks math and quantities as well as correct table of weights;
5. Ensures that notes are made to special items such as finishes, special manufacturers and materials buy-out items;
6. Answers to questions related to take offs;
7. Performs other related tasks that may be assigned
Job Specifications
·Education Requirements
Must be a graduate of BS – Engineering or BS - Architecture
· Work Experience
At least 3 years work experience as an Estimator, one (1) year of which as an Estimator 1 in CSF/ATS
· Knowledge and Skills
Knowledge in material quantity take off, computer literate especially MS Excel and Word, has problem solving ability and keen attention to details
· Traits
Can communicate well verbally and in writing, must be flexible, able to meet tight schedules, team player, has a positive attitude and must have patience.
