Sr. Electrical Engineer

POSITION DETAILS * Position will Lead Electrical, Instrument/Control Systems Engineers, Designers and Drafters in support of projects in Petrochemical, Refinery and Midstream business lines * Evaluate resources required for project execution * Partner and coordinate with other disciplines * Coordinate with Project Controls to ensure alignment with budget and expenses * Electrical specification and selection (lighting, transformers, MCCs, switchgear, VFDs, etc.) * One-line development * Electrical system modelling for arc flash, load flow, and relay coordination studies * Ensure that Brown and Root procedures, specifications, standards, technical guidance’s and work instructions relative to the E&I Department are followed * Partner with Discipline Managers and Project Managers to design and execute project plans * Ensure compliance with industry code, client and Brown and Root guidelines * Ensure safety in all design QUALIFICATIONS * B.S., Electrical Engineering is required * PE is highly preferred * Experience utilizing SKM or ETAP * 5+ years of oil & gas and/or chemical plant experience * Experience in leading Electrical/Instrumentation/Control Systems projects * Proficient in MS Office skills (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Team-oriented * Must be physically able to conduct field trips for review of project materials and engage with field personnel * Must be able to lift and carry up to (25) lbs.
