Job Summary/Responsibilities:

Servicing, testing, repairing, troubleshooting, and maintaining low-voltage security cable, equipment, components, and devices associated with Access Control, Video/CCTV, IP Cameras, Fiber, PA Systems, Network Infrastructure, Security, and Voice/Data Systems.

Diagnosing malfunctioning systems, apparatus and components using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.

Installing and mounting electronic devices, panels, sensors, and components.

Troubleshooting, repair, and installation of wiring & cabling requiring knowledge of industry standard and manufacturer color codes.

Experienced with the installation and operations of fiber optics, Cat 5e, 6a, RS 485, 232 analog and digital cable specifications.

Experience with Fusion Splicing

Use of an Electronic (FLUKE) multi-meter to find open circuits, short circuits, and ground faulted circuits in networking or other field wiring.

Have a working knowledge of class 2 cabling as it pertains to NFPA 72, BICSI and other relevant codes established and governing the installation of low voltage systems.

Analyze blueprints, schematics, and drawings of fire alarm and/or other related electrical system for the purpose of determining the efficient installation of new or upgraded systems.

Inspects electrical / security systems and their components for the purpose of evaluating conditions, identifying necessary repairs, and recommending preventative maintenance.

Review all work orders assigned and provide daily updates to scheduling coordinators and customers.

Communicate all work prior to starting, as well as work completed to the customer upon arrival and before leaving work site.

Demonstrate a strong sense of urgency in completing all assigned work orders.

Inspecting customer sites and reviewing work orders, blueprints/plans, and installation manuals to determine material requirements and installation procedures to provide customer solutions.

Skills/Traits Required:

We're looking for a leader to "make it happen" and assist in driving production within the field team.

2-3 years of experience working in the low voltage industry

Must be able to travel throughout Georgia Monday - Friday

Must have a valid driver's license and driving record.
