Project Manager- Heavy Civil Construction

SUMMARY:
The Project Manager will be responsible for managing construction projects from pre-construction to completion while ensuring the project remains on schedule and within budget.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Partner with safety to ensure safety programs are established and executed
Financial monitoring and reporting including cost monitoring, cost and revenue projections, change order logs, under/overbilling reports, invoicing, vendor and subcontractor invoicing review and approval
Work with project superintendents to identity applicable equipment types, personnel skill sets, means, methods, and schedule as required
Manage and update receiving and yield reports
Maintain cost accounting, schedule impacts, fully authorized change order logs, and communication logs
Submit quarterly cost to complete projections
Keep change order log up to date
Coordinate equipment acquisitions
Subcontract committed costs tracking
Estimating review to understand strategies, risks, and opportunities
Pre-construction planning with project team
Review and procure any permits or licensing required
Sub-contractor scope and schedule review
Project documentation including submittals, RFI's, meeting minutes, work plans
Project closeout including final documentation, invoicing, retainage release
EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS:
High School diploma or equivalent required (Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred)
At least 5 years industry experience, overseeing multiple projects simultaneously
REQUIREMENTS:
Experience working on heavy civil, DOT
Ability to read and understand of contracts
Strong analytical skills
Detail-oriented and good organization skills
Ability to communicate well with others, both written and orally
Proficient in Computer applications such as Microsoft and time reporting systems
Functional knowledge of job cost accounting
Travel May be Required
