Contract Administrator/Compliance Officer

Zermount Inc. is seeking a motivated Contract Administrator/Compliance Officer to join our Corporate and Contracts team at Zermount. The Contracts administrator will develop, review and evaluate Zermount's contracts on behalf of the organization. This person will be in charge of ensuring that all contracts abide by local and federal laws and they must have a strong knowledge of business financial best practices, an understanding of contract law, and possess strong attention to detail skills. The Contracts Administrator has to be a skilled communicator and have excellent negotiation skills.
Duties & Responsibilities
Handle the administrator aspects of government contracts, including compliance with federal cybersecurity regulations and contract management.
Provide administrative assistance with research, review, preparation, drafting and editing of documents.
Support the Executive team and all corporate departments through a variety of tasks related to the organization, processes, and communication.
Responsible for confidential, time sensitive material, as well as becoming familiar with a variety of Zermount concepts, practices, and procedures.
Develop contractual documentation to support organizational goals
Ensure that all records are accurate and up to date
Write or review contract letters and other communications and notices
Identify relevant contract terms, as outlined and based on contract type while ensuring that projects remain within the established guidelines per company requirements
Attend meetings to assess progress on projects, contract negotiations, proposal efforts which are in motion, and take detailed notes to share with stakeholders
Create regular status reports regarding progress on contract status and projects
Analyze contracts to ensure they comply with state and federal laws and regulations
Help prepare Requests for Quotes (RFQs), Proposals (RFPs) and Request for Information (RFIs) in response to federal government solicitations, making sure that applications focus on the conditions, restrictions, and goals of the sponsoring organization.
Support oversight and administration of projects or contracts to ensure that operations conform to business needs and that maximum efficiency is achieved to align with client requirements and deliverables.
Monitor existing and new contracts to ensure that proper follow up is in place, requirements are submitted within time and limitations specified
Review incoming and outgoing correspondence, log all review of correspondence based on priority level
Provide administrative support to all corporate departments (drafting documents, execution of processes, and review of documents)
Manage, schedule and coordinate necessary meetings in alignment with executive calendars to synchronize necessary meetings/activities/appointments/ travel/leave/etc.
Develop and manage contract and other department process improvements, updates, and reviews; enhance and revise all templates and SOPs (policies, contracts, agreements, etc.)
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
5-7 years of related professional experience in Contracts, Contracts Management, Business Administration or a related field.
Understanding and experience working with contractual documentation (knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) is preferred).
Experience with Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs), Teaming Agreements (TA's), Subcontracts, contract awards, etc.
Experience working with the Federal government and private industry;
Knowledge of contract law, accounting principles/finance and strong negotiation and mediation skills
Possesses superior attention to detail in order to spot inconsistencies in contracts
Able to work productively independently and as part of a team
Must have excellent analytical thinking skills and problem-solving abilities
Should exhibit strong organizational and time management abilities
Ability to analyze organizational data and complex problems, interpret and recommend alternative courses of action, and implement strategies to attain performance targets.
Ability to effectively present to corporate leadership.
Advanced proficiency in standard software applications (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Project).
Must be self-motivated, detail oriented, and highly organized.
Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills.
Education
Bachelor preferable but professional experience is Permitted.
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Contract Management, Organizational Management or a related field.
5-7 years of experience or related experience is required.
Certifications and Training (Preferred)
A minimum of at least one of the following security certifications:
Paralegal certificate from an accredited institution or equivalent work experience in a field that develops the skills required for the functions and responsibilities of the position.
Certified Contracts Manager (CCM)
Certified Federal Contracts Manager (CFCM)
Project Management Professional (PMP)
Other related certification
Work Location
Onsite at Zermount Corporate Headquarters in Arlington, Virginia.
Hours of Operation
Business Hours: 8:00 am EST - 4:30 pm EST.
