Key Qualifications and Skills
Current CA RDA licensure
X-Ray License
BLS/CPR Certified
Minimum 1 year of experience working in ortho
An outgoing and friendly personality
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, especially when working with children
Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Proven record of excellent attendance and punctuality, demonstrating reliability and commitment to the team.
Key Responsibilities
Assist orthodontists during a variety of treatment procedures.
Set up and breakdown operatory post-treatment.
Take dental x-rays according to dentist's orders.
Manage infection control - prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment.
Provide patients with instructions for oral care following dental treatment procedures
Educate patients on appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health (tooth brushing, flossing, etc.)
Help patients feel comfortable before, during, and after dental treatment.
Provide administrative support when necessary.
