Job Purpose:

To provide QA oversight of the end-to-end product manufacturing process, ensuring compliance with food and feed quality standards; managing the batch release process, offering technical expertise, and guidance in all operational quality aspects.

Main Duties:

Inspect products to ensure that they meet quality standards

Monitor production operations to ensure conformance to company specifications

Ensure products meet customer expectations based on company objectives

Communicate the results of inspections and put forward corrective suggestions

Support investigations and root cause analysis of deviations and non-conformances, driving corrective and preventive actions to prevent recurrence.

Perform the batch release process, including reviewing batch records, ensuring compliance, and approving product releases.

Drive a culture of continuous improvement in quality assurance practices and procedures.

Collaborate with other departments, such as production, technical, and regulatory affairs, to optimise QA processes and outcomes.

Support and maintain the Quality functions of the ERP system

Support the Quality Manager (QM) in the maintenance of the documented Quality procedures.

Deputise for the QM during absence.

Support the QM in the maintenance of any relevant H&S or Quality periodic checks e.g. environmental sampling schedule.

Support the QM in the maintenance and calibration of the facility and equipment

Skills & Abilities:

Proficient in computer word processing and Microsoft Office applications

Strong regard for quality assurance according to company standards

Good knowledge about industry products and processes

Basic mathematical arithmetic

Excellent oral and communication skills

Good team player who can work efficiently with minimal supervision

Confident in dealing with people; organising them or resolving potential conflicts

Organised

Education & Experience:

Bachelor's degree in a related field or 1 year’s relevant experience in Quality Assurance or similar

Detailed written and oral knowledge of the English language

Experience of HACCP and/or GFSI would be preferable, and experience of QPulse would be an advantage although not essential
