Currently, we are seeking qualified candidates for hourly production team member positions in our Columbia, South Carolina manufacturing facility. As an hourly production team member, you will need to work in a fast paced, high-speed environment, following standardized work, and adhere to safe work practices in a continuous improvement environment.

Job Description:

(Day Shift) - The Forklift Operator is responsible for ensuring a proficient flow of product with quality and safety at the forefront every day.

What you will do:

Follow the organization’s rules, regulations and safety operation system.

Ensure the quality, quantity, time and safety of the work tasks according to departmental guidelines.

Follow the safe operation rules of the forklift at all times.

Safeguard the operation quality and packaging materials ensuring they are free from damage and without breakage.

Carefully carry out the shoveling and transportation of finished products into the storage and packaging materials area.

Ensure the warehouse handover procedures are complete and actively communicate with warehouse personnel.

Perform routine maintenance according to safety requirements, to certify the vehicle is in good operating condition.

Report forklift operation problems to the team leader or workshop manager timely to consistently ensure coordination of work.

Complete department work responsibilities, maintain equipment within scope of management and complete records and reports timely.

Other duties as assigned.

What you need to succeed:

High School Diploma or equivalent, 6-month forklift manufacturing experience.

Forklift Operation qualification.

Must be able to read and write.

Must work well in a team environment.

Able to multi-task.

Must possess strong communication and organizational skills.

Self-motivated to work independently with high regards to quality of product.

Work Conditions

Must be able to works around extreme heat safely.

Must be able to work in a wet environment safely.

Must be able to stand for long periods of time.

Must be able to work around and operate machinery safely.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to work 12 hour rotating shifts.

Must be able to stand for long periods of time in a fast-paced environment.

Perform routine maintenance on machinery.

Must be able to work overtime as needed.

Must be able to lift 50+ pounds.

Must be able to meet the physical demands of the work environment.

Must be able to bend repeatedly.
