Khan Academy Brazil aims to deliver a world class user experience to learners that is locally relevant with content, programs, and resources for teachers, schools, and districts. Our platform is a supplemental educational digital resource that offers interactive activities based on mastery-based learning for K-12 grades covering Math, Portuguese, and Science, all aligned to BNCC. We serve more than 6 million learners across our websites, apps and youtube channels and our goal is to scale the impact of our platform by focusing on partnerships with public districts in Brazil.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Khan Academy Brazil is seeking a dynamic and highly organized individual to fill the role of Chief of Staff. This pivotal role supports the Managing Director for Latam by overseeing program management, leading special projects, and facilitating key strategic initiatives. The Chief of Staff will be instrumental in shaping our operational strategies across Latin America, enhancing our organizational impact and efficiency.

Your key responsibilities:

Program and Project Management: Ensure seamless coordination and execution of diverse projects, maintaining timelines and project scopes across the organization

Lead Incubation of New Business: Spearhead the development of new initiatives and business models, identifying and nurturing high-potential opportunities for regional expansion and partnerships

Strategic Initiatives: Engage in strategic planning sessions, contributing insights and documentation to shape organizational directives. Oversee the execution of critical strategic projects

Support to Managing Director: Serve as a primary support for the Managing Director, facilitating efficient communication and coordination within the leadership team. Prepare research and briefing materials for strategic meetings

Operations Support: Enhance the operational effectiveness of the Managing Director’s office by streamlining processes and systems

Governance Management: Manage governance agenda for the Managing Director, ensuring optimal organization and effectiveness of team meetings, decision records, and regional and country initiatives

ABOUT YOU

What you bring:

Demonstrated experience with top-tier management consulting firms or extensive involvement (3+ years) in strategic project management, reflecting a robust capability to navigate complex scenarios

A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Economics, Business, or related fields, providing a solid foundation for strategic decision-making and analytical assessments

Exceptional organizational acumen, able to manage several projects simultaneously without compromising on quality or deadlines

Advanced communication and interpersonal skills, essential for collaboration across diverse teams and cultures

A high standard of professionalism and integrity, essential for handling sensitive information and making discretionary decisions

Proven problem-solving skills, with a proactive attitude to anticipate and resolve challenges effectively

Residency or willingness and ability to relocate to the city of São Paulo/SP, demonstrating flexibility and commitment to the role

Portuguese and English proficiency

You would be a great fit if you have:

Experience in executive support roles or as Chief of Staff, with a proven track record in high-level organizational support

In-depth knowledge of operational processes, with a keen ability to drive process improvements that increase organizational efficiency

Proficiency in Google Suite and modern project management and productivity platforms, as well as strong capabilities in managing schedules and logistical planning

What is nice to have:

Prior experience in technology or education industries

Spanish at intermediate or higher level
