Adjunct Instructor, Analytics & Trends in Retail Columbus College of Art & Design invites applicants for adjunct instructors its Master of Professional Studies in Retail Design program (online), to teach the course REDE 5003 - Analytics & Trends in Retail.

We seek individuals with experience in the field and relevant formal education, who have a passion for supporting the next generation of retail design leaders.

ABOUT THE MASTER OF PROFESSIONAL STUDIES in RETAIL DESIGN: This program trains practicing designers in a multidisciplinary professionalized approach that emphasizes the effective and ethical use of consumer behavioral science and data analytics, alongside a spectrum of design disciplines and executive-level business acumen.

It is consumer-centric and channel-agnostic, and aims to support designers who need exposure to key facets of each of these modes.

In that spirit, the program will develop students' creativity and innovation skills in the service of consumers' needs, expose them to proven practices from the world's leading brands and retailers, and contextualize all this in a program focused on an inclusive future for retail.

ABOUT THE COURSE: REDE 5003 - Analytics & Trends in Retail: This course trains students in the acquisition and analysis of industry and consumer data and visualizations, to inform the design and delivery of retail experience.

Students will undertake research project work to help them understand what constitutes a trend and the relevance of data to making critical business decisions about how consumers engage brands and make purchase decisions.

Using a multidisciplinary approach, the programs emphasize the effective and ethical use of business and consumer research practice, data usage, and design process and execution.

Both the Retail Design and the UX Design programs are consumer-centric and channel-agnostic, and focus on training and supporting human-centered individuals who are re-skilling or up-skilled from other business and human-centric areas of business.

In that spirit, the program will develop students' creativity and innovation skills in the service of business and market needs, exposing students to proven processes, practices and designs from the world's leading industry verticals and/or retailers.
