About the team

As part of the payments team at Penn Interactive, you will be working with a group of talented and friendly individuals. Our goal is to provide the best experience to patrons to manage their funds in the app. The payments team helps integrating with third party payment providers and supporting our client developers through a GraphQL API. We take pride in delivering highly reliable and scalable solutions. We’re always looking for ways to not only improve our knowledge but also share knowledge throughout the company.

About the work

As a Technical Product Manager you will:

Typical Work Day at Penn Interactive :

Lead the full product & platform lifecycle – from ideation, design, requirements definition, through to delivery – collaborating with teams across the organization.

Drive large and complex technical initiatives across teams of world-class developers.

Lead day-to-day operations of the team, using tools like JIRA and Confluence.

Deliver value to the product development teams through internal tooling, education, and documentation.

Coordinate release cycle of internal tools and manage cross team dependencies.

Other duties as required.

About You

3 to 5 years of experience in product management in a technical environment.

Background in Engineering, Computer Science, IT, or related technical field.

Have an understanding of the various components in a backend system, including microservices, databases, and messaging systems.

Experience communicating to both engineering and business stakeholders, and across diverse cultures, work styles, and personalities.

Experience creating technical diagrams, authoring technical requirements and product roadmaps.

Strong project management skills and ability to present work to executive staff.

Outstanding written/oral, organizational, analytical skills, and attention to detail.

Ability to predict challenges and seek to proactively head-off obstacles.

Must be a self-starter, a team player, and able to operate autonomously.

Nice to haves:

Previous start-up, consumer mobile and/or consulting experience is a strong asset.

Experience with Cloud platforms (Google, AWS) and monitoring tools like DataDog, Splunk, and Prometheus.

Hands on experience with programming or server management.
