Overview

ATCC is seeking a Technical Writer for a hybrid role (2-3 days on-site), who will support the start-up of the new BioProduction lab in Germantown, MD.

The Technical Writer will research, organize, write, and edit information for use in a wide variety of documentation requiring in-depth knowledge and understanding of the cell biology and virology production processes. Prior hands-on experience with cell culture and/or virology techniques is preferred.

Responsibilities

Develop, Write, and Review Scientific Documentation: Create and edit material for reports, SOPs, product information sheets, and federal proposals. Review scientific literature and data to authenticate documented manufacturing specifications.

Documentation Creation: Produce instructional manuals, work instructions, protocols and documentation projects.

Quality Assurance: Authenticate manufacturing specifications, ensuring accuracy and compliance with ISO standards.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree and 2-5 years' experience or equivalent experience.

Prior hands-on experience with cell culture and/or virology techniques is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Technical writing and editing experience.

Detail oriented.

Computer proficiency.

Good verbal communication skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and general computer skills required for BioServices website maintenance and data mining.
