The Role:

We are seeking a highly strategic Head of Marketing to define and lead our consumer marketing strategy and execution across the European region. The role has ownership of local/regional awareness-driving activities, culture marketing, social handles, and community initiatives as well as local optimization of global brand, PR, creative, product, performance, and CRM campaigns. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of building and scaling the Marketing function and its impact within a challenger company, achieving outsized returns with limited budgets, and driving high ROI. With deep local market knowledge, you will be instrumental in tailoring our approach to these key markets, ensuring that our marketing strategies resonate locally while aligning with our global vision.

This role will work closely with, and report to, the VP of Marketing, based in Germany.

Key Responsibilities:

Craft and execute a comprehensive local/regional marketing strategy at the brand, category and product level.

Lead efforts to scale our presence in Europe, focusing on market penetration and brand recognition, especially in the UK and German markets.

Build, manage, and coach a high-performing marketing team, fostering a culture of innovation, efficiency, and continuous improvement.

Oversee the marketing budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources for maximum impact and ROI.

Identify and secure strategic partnerships that enhance brand visibility and market reach.

Work closely with Global Marketing and Regional Channel Marketing to align European marketing strategies.

Develop and track key metrics to assess the effectiveness of marketing strategies, making data-driven decisions to enhance performance.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Head of Marketing, ideally within a fast-paced, start-up environment.

Demonstrable success in scaling businesses and maximising marketing ROI, particularly in the consumer tech industry.

Extensive knowledge of the UK and German markets with a nuanced understanding of consumer behaviour and market dynamics in these regions.

Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop teams.

Strategic thinker with an ability to create innovative marketing solutions.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of forging strong relationships with partners, stakeholders, and teams.

Entrepreneurial mindset, comfortable in rapidly evolving environments.

Fluent in English, with proficiency in German highly desirable.
