Prep Cook at Loco Pez Fishtown

Job Description

Loco Pez, Fishtown's popular Mexican taqueria and bar, is hiring an experienced Prep Cook to join our team. We are looking for qualified candidates who love a fast-paced environment and share in our passion for simple, delicious and approachable Tex-Mex cuisine.

The position consists primarily of daytime shifts, as well as some weekends. Availability on Sundays is required.

Qualifications:

A minimum of 2 years of experience in a food preparation.

Possess strong organizational and multi-tasking skills.

Must understand prep sheets and the prep process.

Be self-motivated; the position requires cooks to frequently work alone.

Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively.

Must be able to follow recipes and instructions.

Spanish speaking is a plus, but not a requirement.

Strong team skills.

Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 50 pounds.

Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time.

Must have exceptional hygiene and grooming habits.
