Be a Part of the MRI Department Launch at New York Sports and Joints!

Are you ready to be a part of something truly exciting? At New York Sports and Joints, we are thrilled to announce the launch of our brand-new MRI Department in New Hyde Park.

As our MRI Aide, you'll be at the forefront of patient care, contributing to our mission of providing top-notch orthopedic care.

Key Responsibilities:

Exceptional Patient Care: Ensuring the highest level of patient comfort and care during MRI scans. Greeting patients warmly, addressing their concerns, and providing emotional support.

Patient Education: Explaining MRI procedures to patients, answering their questions, and reducing anxiety by offering clear and reassuring information.

Safe and Comfortable Environment: Creating a welcoming and safe atmosphere in the MRI suite. Assisting with patient positioning to maximize comfort during scans.

Effective Communication: Collaborating with radiologic technologists and physicians to ensure efficient patient flow and a positive experience.

Maintain Cleanliness: Keeping work areas spotless and organized to create a hygienic and pleasant environment for patients.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.

One to two years of experience in MRI or a similar healthcare environment.

Basic knowledge of MRI procedures and safety.

CPR certification (or willingness to obtain it).

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.

Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality.

Bilingual skills (a plus), as we serve a diverse patient population.

Physical Qualifications:

Position requires full range of body motion, including handling and lifting patients, as well as manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination.

Involves standing and walking.

Occasionally, employee may be asked to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.

Normal visual acuity and hearing are required.

Employee will work under stressful conditions and work irregular hours.

Frequent exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, medicinal preparations and other conditions common to a clinical environment.
