Job Description:
Decisions Oriented seeks a full-time mid-level Software Engineer to be the Scrum Master and perform some development work in a small and exciting DoD emerging technology and enterprise transformation project. As a Software Engineer and Scrum Master, you will be responsible for driving work, maintaining, and enhancing complex and diverse engineering systems. You may be required to provide specific input as needed to the software components of system design to include hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, use of Commercial Off-the-shelf (COTS)/Government Off-the-shelf (GOTS) in place of new development, and requirements analysis and synthesis from system level to individual software modules. To be an effective team member, you must be capable of working independently when necessary, with strong communication skills, the ability to follow through, stay motivated, and collaborate with others to successfully complete all assignments.
Required Skills:
Five (5) years of experience as a Scrum Master
Active Secret Clearance
Certified or Professional Scrum Master Certifications
Intermediate experience with JavaScript and JavaScript Libraries, including React JS, jQuery, and ExtJS
Intermediate experience developing enterprise solutions frameworks, build tools, version control systems, and continuous integration tools (Git, Maven, Eclipse, or SVN)
Intermediate experience with open-source utility tools that automate the management and function of programs inside software containers such as: Docker and Kubernetes
Understanding of Linux and Windows systems and Virtualization
Experienced in executing Agile methodologies (SaFe, Scrum, Kanban, etc)
Experienced with Collaboration tools such as JIRA, Confluence, SharePoint
Desired Skills:
Agile Certifications (ex. Scaled Agile Framework SaFe 5.0)
Experience in AWS, Azure Cloud/Big Data (Batch and Streaming Analytics
Experience or knowledge of with Kubernetes
Experience with Virtualized Platforms
Knowledge of the Zero Trust Framework

Additional Qualification Requirements:
Eight (8) years experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
Individual Capabilities Required:
Will be responsible for leading Mid-level and Senior Level Engineers in using Agile methodology and scrum practices
Will be responsible for leading a senior level engineering development team in hardware and software development.
Will be responsible for overseeing and managing scrum processes for multiple engineering team.
Responsible for guiding the product owner and development team to developing and achieving roadmap objectives
Remove impediments and coach the engineering team on removing impediments
Be the lead Scrum Master over other scrum masters.
Resolve conflicts and issues that occur
Help the scrum team achieve higher levels of scrum maturity
Facilitate meetings and communication between product owner stakeholders and the engineering teams to ensure the highest value
work is top priority in the backlog
Facilitate the daily team sync, iteration and increment planning session
Oversee and facilitate all agile ceremony activities
Provide recommendations for improving documentation and software development process standards
Write or review software and system documentation
Assist with developing and executing test procedures for software components
