Seeking a creative, fun, experienced and energetic Marketing Coordinator with 4 or more years' of full-time experience to drive our business to the next level.

Interested in working and integrating within our fun, friendly, customer-focused environment, and working with our sales team, while being rewarded for driving growth - then this is the role for you!

We are looking for skilled digital marketer with solid experience who is interested in driving growth and extending our reach. This person will be responsible for creating, managing and delivering innovative marketing and promotional materials, web and social media management, including content creation for our niche high-end sewing business.

Aurora Sewing Center, is a family-owned all-things retail home-hobbyist sewing business with three retail store locations and ecommerce, celebrating over 45 years serving Western New York.

This Marketing Coordinator is a self-starter, detail-oriented, team player looking to understand and integrate within our business with the ability to manage multiple projects through excellent time management. This role is ideal for a well-rounded individual with the ability to produce independently, with solid experience in; digital content creation, video creation, social media platforms, ecommerce, and advertising.

This role requires a creative person that can dig-in, explore and become knowledgeable and efficient with our state or the art platforms, ideally with a creative career interest in sewing, quilting and/or embroidery. This hands-on person doesn’t mind periodic physical work while coordinating events. He/she can take direction from others, successfully work within a team, while creating a friendly environment and positively interacting with customers.

Role & Responsibilities:

Create and implement promotional advertising content aligned with our our business strategy and core vendor’s national programs.

Manage promotional advertising with e-mail, social media, web site and other marketing mediums.

Creative graphic design capability with Adobe Creative Suite for brochure and video content production.

Create and manage digital assets, including; video, photos, social media posts, in-store signage and website use to deliver a consistent and concise message.

Design and source print collateral including; direct mailers, brochures, class programs, postcards, in-store flyers/signage and newsletters.

Secure branding standards and digital assets from vendor portals for design, creation or modification and use through all marketing channels.

Manage and keep updated our web site content, improve SEO and conversion rate with fresh content and continual improvements.

Mediate customer communications through; Facebook, Instagram, web, email, Google Business inquiries and reviews.

Create dynamic e-mail news letters and social media posts with drip-feeds, linked to our website.

Manage our online video class process, and produce video resources.

Establish and operate to a marketing campaign plan.

Collaborate with other team members to gain an understanding of our niche sewing industry.

Market and actively engage our sewing programs, exhibits and events.

Explore alternative advertising opportunities.

Identify metrics to measure and drive improvements on both efficiency and campaign success.

Establish and leverage positive vendor relationships for resourcing, ideas and sourcing.

Reports directly to owners.

Education & Experiences:

Highly creative with experience targeting audiences and devising marketing campaigns and flows to engage, inform and motivate.

Proven full-time work experience of 3 or more years full-time with digital marketing and asset creation, photography, video creation, web site management.

Solid in a variety of programs within Adobe Creative Design.

Solid copywriting capability.

Solid website and SEO knowledge.

Successful experiences with management of social media platforms and advertising.

Experience with A/B and multivariate promotions.

Bachelors in Marketing or related field.

Location:

This role is primarily based at both our East Aurora, NY and Williamsville, NY store locations. Occasional visits to our Victor, NY location for special events and programs with others.

Typical Schedule:

Mon. to Fri., 9am to 5:30pm
