Summary

Responsible for producing lifestyle photography and videos of pet products in a high-volume and fast-paced environment. This is a hands-on role that includes self-producing and capturing assests, photo research, editing, and design- ensuring that all assigned work meets brand integrity and production quality standards, while remaining on schedule. Candidates for this position should have proven experience with digital photography, studio lighting and photo/video editing software, with preference given to individuals with experience with product photography/videography.

Candidates must submit a portfolio or examples of their work to be considered.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Execute high quality, consistent lifestyle photography/videography. Compose assets based on the look and feel of the company brand/style while ensuring assets have proper lighting and composition to effectively communicate. Must be able to follow storyboards and written photo direction with great attention to detail.

• Plan, organize, and execute shoots.

• Scout and schedule models (both human and pet).

• Work closely with senior creative staff, designers, photographers, brand managers, and other team members to understand visual/photo needs for assigned projects and prioritize accordingly.

• Ability to quickly learn project management software and practices.

• Edit all photography and video in a timely fashion resulting in a completed project.

• Professional and effective communication with models during all aspects of media shoots including scheduling, set up and on-site interactions.

• Manage on-set coordination including problem-solving when issues arise and communicating clearly to help ensure the visual direction is executed successfully.

• Operate and maintain studio equipment.

• Own the post-production process asset selection and final delivery. Edit, process, retouch, color correct, archive, and upload all files in an organized manner.

• Organize images on internal servers, online digital asset management software, and/or Adobe Creative Cloud.

• Secure contracts, model release forms, and usage rights for all assets.

• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, balancing deadlines, resources, and priorities effectively.

• Must be able to work as a team in a creative group environment, and work independently and be self-motivated.

• A meticulous eye for detail and impeccable organizational skills.

Education/Experience

• Bachelor's degree in photography, commercial, graphic design, or related field OR related experience.

• 3-5+ years work experience in photo/visual production or related field.

• Demonstrated experience in lifestyle photography and jr level videography; experience with product is a plus.

Qualifications

• A professional portfolio that demonstrates a working knowledge of photography and video skills, including lighting, composition, and aesthetics.

• Good verbal, written communication, and organizational skills.

• Must be highly organized and able to meet project needs and deadlines.

• Full understanding of manual camera settings and lighting.

• Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, IE: Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Premiere Pro.

• Ability to edit and adjust images for a variety of digital platforms. Skills/experience with animation is a plus.

• Experience using MAC OS and MS Office.

• Strong storytelling skills.

• Ability to problem-solve and troubleshoot technical issues to find create solutions.

• Be able to stand and/or walk during shoots and lift and move up to 50lbs.
