This job expects to pay about $60/hr per hour plus benefits.

As a Senior Application Support Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our retail environment, particularly focusing on point-of-sale (POS) systems. You will leverage your expertise in application support to review, analyze, and evaluate our information technology systems operations, identifying areas for improvement and recommending enhancements. Serving as the primary point of contact between users and engineering/development staff, you will ensure efficient communication and resolution of system issues. Your role will also involve supporting large-scale projects, including peer-to-peer encryption initiatives, and translating business needs into formal technical requirement deliverables.

Key Responsibilities:

Review, analyze, and evaluate information technology systems operations to identify opportunities for improvement, with a focus on retail IT solutions.

Determine user needs and requirements through effective communication and collaboration with stakeholders.

Serve as the primary point of contact between users and engineering/development staff, facilitating efficient resolution of system issues.

Identify, document, report, and track system issues to ensure timely resolution and minimize disruption to operations.

Support large-scale projects, including peer-to-peer encryption initiatives, and ensure alignment with organizational objectives.

Translate business needs into formal technical requirement deliverables, ensuring that technology solutions meet user requirements.

Utilize your retail IT experience to support NCR POS solutions, including deployments, maintenance, and troubleshooting within the NCR Radiant platform.

Provide top-tier support for retail operations, addressing payment processing issues, fuel processing issues, price sign issues, and other related challenges.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement virtualization solutions and optimize system performance.

Mentor junior team members and share insights from your extensive experience in retail IT support.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in application support, preferably in a retail environment.

Extensive experience with POS solutions, particularly NCR POS, including support, deployments, and maintenance.

Strong understanding of payment acceptance systems, fuel dispensers, and other retail IT solutions.

Petro industry experience is a plus.

Experience supporting large-scale projects and peer-to-peer encryption initiatives.

Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, depending on project requirements.

Virtualization experience is desirable.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.

Self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
