Description:

A corporate events’ project management and consulting firm is looking to hire a Research, Communications and Brand Manager. The candidate will be responsible for coordinating the communications resources and output within the company as well as its brand management. This candidate will create and deliver emails, direct mail, brochures, newsletters, and other publications.

Responsibilities:

In line with the Annual Organizational Strategy, develop, oversee, implement and review the annual Communication, Research, & Brand (CRB) Calendar/Schedule and output.

Work with the Programme manager to champion the integration of relevant organizational communication, brand and research findings into all program activities as well as oversee the extraction of relevant content from such initiatives.

Oversee the continuous identification, engagement, update and review of all key communication stakeholders (including, press, social media platform etc.); maintaining a database, keeping a checklist, monitoring& evaluating and documentation.

Proactively ensure organizational brand projection and optimization across all relevant platforms as well as create and monitor commensurate brand value for funding/sponsoring partners when and where relevant.

Oversee access, upgrades, security of all the organizations’ IT communication interfaces & channels (host plan, SSL certificates, social media accounts, email accounts/subscription

Provide direction to the CRB staff/team in the development, coordination and control of CBR initiatives and activities along the Organization focus areas.

Recommend annual communications budget for the PD’s approval and prudently manage the team’s resources.

Call periodic CRB team meetings to establish and communicate targets and work plans in line with overall goals.

Present progress reports on deliverables and impact of Organization communication output to the PD as and when required.

Proactively ensure that enquiries and complaints are promptly and properly redirected and treated.

Oversee all activities of the team to ensure compliance with stipulated policies and procedures.

Ensure that all CRB team members carry out their assigned tasks under a safe and conducive environment.

Periodically evaluate the performance of CRB staff in line with the agreed performance management process; ensure that feedback and evaluation is done in a timely manner.

Conduct extensive in-depth research on strategic focus areas for publishing

Create company literature and other forms of communication.

Create marketing and promotional materials - both print and electronic.

Create monthly and quarterly schedules for marketing and promotional engagement

Ensure achievement of monthly and quarterly promotional and out-reach targets across all media platforms

Work with advertisers for timely and useable ad submissions,

Copyedit, proofread, and revise communications.

Design and launch email marketing campaigns.

Recommend, implement and maintain site design and operation.

Promote our products and services through public relations initiatives.

Develop marketing communications campaigns.

Create thought leadership materials.

Create and deliver press releases, media relations content, case studies, white papers, executive bios, corporate newsletter content, social media content, and speaking proposals.

Research media coverage and industry trends.

Develop fresh story ideas.

Conduct extensive media outreach.

Prepare briefing materials.

Coordinate conference’s media/press and interviews.

Leverage and coordinate full scale IT across the entire scope of the firm’s communication initiatives

Perform other job duties as assigned by your direct supervisor or PD

Ensure timely and good-quality implementation of work plan activities

Requirements

Requirements:

At least 4 years’ experience in a supervisory role as a Research, Communications and Brand Manager.

First degree in any discipline from an accredited institution in Communications, Marketing or Journalism or a relevant discipline.

Requisite certifications & a post graduate degree is an advantage

Knowledge of the midstream & downstream energy industry and its policies in Nigeria & Africa is an added advantage.

Proficiency in digital media navigation and deployment

Excellent leadership and team building skills

Ability to think creatively, strategically and holistically.

Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office productivity tools and other relevant applications

Achievement of team’s annual strategic objectives.

Originality, consistency, volume, quality, action-based responses of output (research/communications/brand)

Completeness and timeliness of annual calendars, schedules/ plans and budgets.

Timely and accurate tracking of brand, communication/research workflows and interceptions.

Full compliance of operations and administrative activities with Organization policies and procedures.

Relationship Management with team and stakeholders as are relevant to the role.

Measurable impact of successful communication, brand and research initiatives on key areas with proper documentation thereafter.
