Engineer (P3) – Middleware Integration (IBM IIB-GCP)

Middleware/Data Integration services team is part of EIT - Shared Services Organization and is responsible for managing multiple integration platforms and integration artifacts across the organization. Team is focused on managing platforms and delivering data movement and data transformation solutions to support business critical operations and analytics.

Job Description

As an IBM Integration Bus (IIB) or IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE) Developer, your primary responsibility is to design, develop, and implement integration solutions using IBM Integration Bus or IBM App Connect Enterprise.

SPECIFIC DUTIES, ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Demonstrates subject matter expertise in IBM Integration Bus (IIB) or IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE) or IBM MQ and either one of the integration technologies Kafka, Qlik Attunity, and Dell Boomi.

Designing, developing, and implementing integration solutions using IBM Integration Bus or IBM App Connect Enterprise (formerly IBM Integration Bus or IBM Integration Bus Advanced).

Developing message flows, message sets, and mappings using IBM Integration Bus or IBM App Connect Enterprise Toolkit.

Writing and debugging ESQL code, Java transformations, and custom nodes to enhance integration capabilities.

Implementing message validation, transformation, routing, and enrichment logic using various integration patterns.

Configuring and managing IBM Integration Bus or IBM App Connect Enterprise runtime environments, including deployment and administration.

Demonstrates knowledge of relational databases (MS SQL, Oracle, IBM DB2, SAP HANA, etc.).

Demonstrate leadership capabilities in designing, developing, and successful implementation of enterprise scale integration solutions

Provide thought leadership to drive or establish architecture patterns to build highly available systems and integrations to support business critical applications.

Demonstrated ability to set technology direction and oversee successful delivery and/or support of technology solutions

Demonstrates expertise with Google Cloud Platform and other Cloud platforms like AWS.

Demonstrates willingness to learn new products/technologies and is an effective team player.

Demonstrates knowledge of configuring and deploying applications preferably using Docker on Google Cloud Platform and other cloud platforms.

Demonstrates experience installing and configuring clustered environment. Implement systems including fault tolerance and high availability solutions.

Demonstrates knowledge of software development life cycle, modeling of business processes, application design patterns, business/functional documents. Estimates to high level business requirements and provide options analysis.

Demonstrates hands on experience with one or more programing languages (Java/J2EE, Shell/Perl/ Python scripting)

Maintains platform or system health and availability requirements including HADR testing.

Leverages fluency in technical languages, operating systems, application programming interfaces, and troubleshooting skills.

Communicates effectively with various cross functional and technology teams (app dev, deployment, testing, project).

Ability to define work processes and lead team members in successful implementation

Demonstrates knowledge of software development techniques and fluency in software languages and application programming interfaces.

Demonstrates general understanding of hardware/software platforms including but not limited to operating systems, databases, application servers, web servers and integration technologies.

Plans and executes system implementations that ensure success and minimize risk of system outages or other negative production impacts.

Demonstrates conceptual knowledge of architecture standards and database and operating systems.

Demonstrates problem solving ability that allows for effective and timely resolution of system issues including but not limited to production outages.

Analyzes production system operations using tools such as monitoring, capacity analysis and outage root cause analysis to identify and drive change that ensures continuous improvement in system stability and performance.

Demonstrates knowledge of software development, life cycle, modeling of business processes, application design patterns, business/functional documents. Estimates to high level business requirements and provide options analysis.

Troubleshooting and resolving Run issues related to Production systems, integration processes, message flows, and connectivity with external systems.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Qualifications / Skills Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent work experience

Overall 6+ years of experience with various One or more Data Integration technologies like IBM Integration Bus (IIB) or IBM MQ

3+ years of IT experience with IBM Integration Bus (IIB) or IBM MQ

3+ years working with different relational databases (MS SQL, Oracle, IBM DB2, SAP HANA, etc.)

1+ Years of Experience with at least one of these clouds: Google Cloud Platform(GCP), AWS,IBM Cloud

Added advantage if any Knowledge OR experience of GCP Data services : Bigquery / Dataproc /Composer /Pubsub / Dataflow / GCS / BigTable

Added advantage if any Knowledge OR experience in GCP Databases : Bigtable / Spanner / CloudSQL /AlloyDB

Additionally Having experience working with either one of the integration technologies like Dell Boomi, Kafka OR Attunity

Proficiency in ESQL, Java, and other programming languages relevant to integration development.

Strong understanding of integration patterns, messaging protocols (such as JMS, HTTP, SOAP, REST), and data transformation techniques.

Knowledge of XML, JSON, XSLT, and other data formats used in integration processes.

Familiarity with enterprise messaging systems, such as IBM MQ, JMS, or Apache Kafka.

Experience with Code, Configuration and Build management tools such as GIT, Concourse, Ansible and Jenkins is preferred.

Expert in DataStage solution conception, design, and deployment.

Knowledge of software development processes and supporting tools

Operating Systems: Windows and Linux
