Job Description

A prestigious hospital in Los Angeles County seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join their Orthopedic department. The ideal Medical Assistant must be flexible to float between offices in Torrance and El Segundo.

As an integral part of the team, you will be responsible for providing excellent patient support to ensure seamless operations. Duties include greeting patients, taking vital signs, administer immunizations, injections and oral medication, prepare lab work and specimens, maintain and prepare exam rooms.

Pay Rate Range: $23.00/hr. DOE

Shift: Monday – Friday / 8:00AM - 5:00PM.

Medical Assistant Job Requirements:

Minimum 1-year experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinic or medical office setting; 2+ years in Orthopedics is highly desirable

Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish

Experience in wound and cast care

Proficiency in blood draws/phlebotomy; Phlebotomy certification preferred

Working knowledge of medical insurances, referral processes and benefit plans is preferred

Experience with EPIC/CS Link; NextGen EMR is preferred
